Emulation Hardware Engineer

Job Qualifications

Position Overview Mentor’s Information Technology department strategically supports our engineers and corporate staff in more than 80 offices and R&D centers around the globe. This position will be based out of Pangyo office in Korea and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following. The successful candidate will be provided training at Mentor Graphics office in Fremont, CA, US to support the emulation hardware equipment at Mentor customer sites.

* Install & Support Mentor Emulation hardware at customer sites
  1. Install Emulator hardware at customer sites
  2. OS Installations and upgrades on emulation/comodel hosts
  3. Emulation PCI card installation on emulator hosts
  4. Follow support request process to track service requests
  5. Run remote diagnostics where applicable to identify problem
  6. Travel to customer sites with spare hardware and replace failed boards
  7. Jointly troubleshoot issues with mentor colleagues as required
  8. Run diagnostics post hardware replacement to validate normal operation
  9. Send failure reports to Emulation hardware backend team
  10. Communicate with customer on progress and status
  11. Pickup failed hub inventory and get back to Hub o Box and tag customer failed inventory and locate them in the customer designated failed section and advice customer
  12. Follow support procedures and update time tracking systems
  13. Follow communication and reporting procedures as defined
  14. Follow standard procedures when root cause of issues is not known, logging, escalating and or communicating as required

OPC Product Engineer

Job Qualifications

  1. BS (required), MS, or PhD in Engineering plus 1-5 years of experience (desirable) in OPC/RET Engineering or Photolithography Technology Development.
  2. Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems is required.
  3. Experience with commercial OPC, RET or TCAD Lithography simulation software is a plus.
  4. Experience with at least one programming language like Python, shell, TCL, Perl or C/C++ is required. - Some domestic and international travel is required.
